BARRACKS

BARRACKS (Where men would wait for war) and NIKE – EUCALYPTUS,

Site-specific installation produced during a residency at the Headlands Center for the Arts, Marin County, CA. at the decommissioned Fort Barry barracks.

Contained army cots with eucalyptus limb legs, sheets, 80-year-old petrified sandbags as pillows, and two 15-foot figures made from eucalyptus bark. All materials were found in the base’s buildings and rugged hillsides of sage dotted with small eucalyptus forests planted to disguise the military installations
